Lin Xiaoman, an ordinary office worker, picks up five cute "stray kids" on her way home from overtime, only to discover these little ones are actually baby ancient divine beasts—The Vermilion Bird baby loves spitting small flames and burning the kitchen, the Azure Dragon cub can control water and turn the toilet into a pool, and even the quietest Black Tortoise baby can summon dirt mounds to bury her packages! Just as she's driven crazy by "divine beast parenting," a mysterious man named Gu Han suddenly shows up, claiming to "take back" her "dragon-keeping right" and insisting he's the beasts' "original owner." Torn between the cute babies she's grown attached to and the enigmatic man, Lin Xiaoman realizes she didn't just pick up kids—she picked up a "sweet trouble" tied to ancient secrets, and her bond with the babies goes far beyond the relationship of "keeper" and "beast."
