Lin Xiaoman, an unemployed food editor, takes a job as the "taste assistant" for Su Shiyan, a cold-hearted dessert shop owner, to pay her mother's surgery bills. Su lost his sense of taste three years ago but creates healing desserts using his "Sweet Rules": visual details, tactile warmth, and memory empathy. However, his rules hide a secret—all recipes come from his late mother, and his closed heart slowly melts under Xiaoman's "clumsy but warm" company. Just as Xiaoman discovers Su's taste is returning and she's fallen for this stubbornly soft man, Su suddenly disappears—afraid his "imperfection" will dim her sunshine?
