Lin Xiaoman, a relic organizer, always leaves a note saying "May you be safe every year" after each job. Until she processes the belongings of elderly Chen Guilan—an entire box of unposted letters, all addressed to "Lin Xiaoman". Twenty years ago, a lost Xiaoman stayed at Granny Chen's house for half a month, and Granny promised, "I'll wait for you every year". But Alzheimer's made her forget the address, so she wrote letters yearly. When Xiaoman opens the last letter, the ending is still the familiar "May you be safe every year". She realizes the "home" she's been searching for has long been woven into Granny's yearly wait.
