When she finally catches this “mystery helper,” she’s shocked to find it’s Lin Shen, her high school crush. Back then, she avoided him because she was terrified of poverty, but he’d hidden a note that said “I’ll stay with you” and never gave it to her. Now he’s back from abroad, having “tasted” all her hardships—getting soaked in the rain until he had a fever, having food thrown at him by customers—all just to say, “Now, let me carry this for you.”
