A fishing village girl Ayou makes a living by live-streaming shellfish-hunting. Her boyfriend of three years absconds with the savings she’d saved for a shop. When a typhoon hits, she finds a half old compass engraved with “Treading the Tide” on the tidal flat, and meets the mysterious designer Shen Yi who comes for his grandpa’s sunken ship relics. From mutual caution to working together, they uncover the misunderstanding—her boyfriend didn’t embezzle intentionally, and Shen Yi’s grandpa was Ayou’s grandpa’s old friend. Finally, Ayou gets her savings back, finds her grandpa’s “Treading the Tide” treasure, and a mutual love sprouts with the tide.
