Freelance photographer Shen Yan had been trapped in the city's concrete jungle, his creative inspiration worn thin by endless commercial shoots. Until a late-night mountain trip, where the radiant glow of the full moon struck a chord deep within him. Since then, he has been completely obsessed with capturing all things and passersby under moonlight. He turned down all commercial orders, filled his studio with moonlit negatives, and even distanced himself from his long-time girlfriend. It was not until he found a forgotten expired roll of film that he discovered every patch of moonlight in his lenses hid the blurred outline of his late best friend. What he had been drowning in was never the moonlight, but the unspoken apology and self-redemption he had been running from for years.
