Jane shows up with her 3-year-old kid at the door. The man is her "contract dad" she signed half a year ago—an agreement to fend off family pressure for having a baby, promising to part ways once the contract expired. But on the day she packs to leave, her kid clings to the man’s leg, crying "don’t go, dad". More surprisingly, the usually cold man gets teary, murmuring he can’t bear to leave her and the kid. They’ve developed real feelings during the days of the contract, making Jane torn: is it really the end, or should she hold onto this delayed heartbeat?
