After living with her boyfriend Shen Yi for two years, Lin Wan gradually notices his unusual fondness for a calico stray cat in their neighborhood. Shen buys premium cat treats for it, stays up late holding it on the balcony, and even uses its paw print as his phone wallpaper. Jealous but hesitant to confront him, Lin Wan finds an old photo of an orange cat nearly identical to the stray in Shen’s album, with the name "Ayou" — Shen’s late childhood sweetheart — written on the back. Just as she is about to ask for answers, she finds a small silver lock engraved with her own name in the cat’s collar, and the truth starts to unfold.
