Gu Tingshen, the "War God" feared by enemies, receives devastating news on the day of his victory—his mother is kneeling to beg for debt mercy from a wealthy family, and his wife is publicly humiliated by cold water and slaps. He races home overnight, only to see his mother crawling in the mud begging for "three more days" and his wife being slapped and called a "husband-killing witch" as he pushes open the alley. The usually unyielding man's eyes redden; he laughs bitterly and pulls out his gilded marshal's seal: "Pass my order—100,000 iron cavalry seal the city!" The arrogant Ye father and son are still yelling "kill this poor family" when they turn to see a flood of armored soldiers pouring into the street—all the humiliation inflicted on his family will be avenged with thunderous fury.
