Lin Wan, a ten-thousand-year-old immortal, is sent to the mortal world to “undergo tribulation” by the Heavenly Dao because she’s “too powerful.” She disguises herself as a cute college student to lie low. But campus heartthrob Gu Shiyan insists on “getting close”—first stealing her milk tea, then shielding her from unwanted suitors, and finally cornering her in the stairwell: “I know you’re not human. Come with me.” Lin Wan glares and warns: “Whoever messes with me will either turn into a pig or… ” Before she finishes, Gu Shiyan hands her a box of osmanthus cakes: “Or make me take responsibility, right? I’m ready.” It turns out Gu Shiyan is the reincarnation of her “little disciple” from a past life, here to “repay kindness.” Before Lin Wan can put on her “immortal架子,” she’s trapped by this “clingy guy.” When a ten-thousand-year-old immortal meets a “clingy disciple,” will she “teach him a lesson” or will he “win her heart”? This game of “bothering her” has long turned sweet.
