Meteorologist Lin Shen returns to a southern Fujian town after seven years, determined to track down a "missing monsoon"—the very one he promised his first love, Shen Xiaoman: "When the monsoon passes the lighthouse, I'll come back to marry you." But he vanished without a word back then, leaving Xiaoman guarding the old weather station by the lighthouse, her heart closed off.
