Lin Canghai, the Queen of Heaven in the divine realm, has guarded the "Lamp of the Vast Sea"—a sacred artifact maintaining the mortal world's tides—for a thousand years. Yet she's suddenly framed for stealing the lamp, causing floods. To prove her innocence, she volunteers to descend to the mortal realm for trials, only to meet Gu Zhao, a cold-faced constable tasked with arresting the "lamp thief." Convinced she's the culprit, Gu presses her closely, but discovers her tenderness: redirecting tides to save a drowning child, mending fishing nets for a village at sunset. When the mastermind—her own sister—emerges to destroy the lamp and seize the throne, Gu's sealed memories return: in a past life, he was a young merman saved by Lin. Now, it's his turn to protect her, uncover the truth, and guard the lamp and mortal peace.
