Seventeen-year-old Lin Xiaoman has just taken over her grandfather's "Destiny Knife Stall" when his last wish forces her to collect knives—three blades sold on credit three years ago, each tied to a prophecy now coming true. The medicine merchant's son vanished (matching "full jars, empty home"), the tofu grandma's missing son returned with menacing eyes (fulfilling "bleeding tofu, lost kin's return"), and her childhood sweetheart Gu Chuan is planning a wedding (aligning with "broken heart when the knife is sheathed"). As Lin digs deeper, she realizes these "fateful prophecies" are a cover-up for a fake medicine scam—even her grandfather's death was a murder to silence him! She's not just collecting knives—she's chasing the truth. But the culprits have already marked her as their next target.
