Lin Xiaoman, a pawnshop clerk born with weak eyesight, accidentally gains the “perspective appraisal” ability—she can see through objects’ essence, distinguish truth from falsehood, identify ages, and even read people’s thoughts. She just exposed a colleague’s fake designer bag show-off with her ability when she met Gu Jingshen, a mysterious man pawning a “Song Dynasty official kiln porcelain vase”. Lin Xiaoman immediately saw the vase was a fake, but Gu Jingshen retorted: “This vase holds clues to a transnational antique fraud ring.” It turns out Gu Jingshen is an undercover cop targeting the gang that scams elderly people with fake antiques. Forced to team up, they use the ability to crack scams while bickering and testing each other’s hearts—Lin Xiaoman fears her ability will bring trouble; Gu Jingshen fears his identity will endanger her. When the fraud ring targets her ability, can they protect their trust and see their true feelings clearly amid danger?
