Lin Wan, a socially anxious cartoonist, always squats outside the alley convenience store, sketching the warm yellow lights and steaming taro ball porridge in the evening breeze—that’s the porridge Su Xiaotang, the lively clerk, secretly saves for him. They’ve locked eyes through the glass countless times, but both hide their feelings in little codes: “Is the porridge sweet?” “The cat in your drawing looks just like you.” Until the news hits that Xiaotang is moving away. Lin Wan rushes into the evening breeze with his sketchbook, only to find Xiaotang’s notes stuck on the back of every drawing: “Day 7—he drew me tying my hair” “Day 30—I wanted to tell him… I love this evening breeze too.” Their mutual crush, hidden for so long, is finally about to be uncovered by the wind.
