In the 1980s, Lin Xiaoman, a city girl fleeing an arranged marriage, takes refuge in a fishing village and meets Chen Haisheng, a straightforward skilled tidal harvester. Clashing at first, they are forced to team up after a sudden storm. Leveraging Chen’s harvesting skills and Lin’s business sense, they earn their first pot of gold selling shellfish and find a deep-sea delicacy business opportunity. Her fiancé appears later, exposing an engagement-breaking conspiracy; local fish tycoons cut their revenue. The pair grows fond of each other in hardship, turning from bickering rivals to soulmates, rising to become the village’s new wealthy and harvest a mutual love.
