Young reporter Lin Xiao ventures into the uninhabited valley against warnings to find out the truth about her grandfather who disappeared in the wild mountains five years ago. The valley is rumored to hide rare amethyst and haunted by an illegal gang mining precious resources. She accidentally stumbles on the gang's late-night deal and finds clues left by her grandfather, proving he was guarding ecological secrets tied to the amethyst instead of dying in a casual adventure. With ranger A Ze's help, she evades being chased, uncovers the truth step by step, fights the gang together, and protects the mountain's precious resources and her grandfather's reputation.
