Lin Xiaoman, who just turned 18, should have had a bright youth with her best friend, but her father's serious illness before the college entrance exam put a huge burden on her family. She concealed the news of being admitted to a key university, rejected her childhood sweetheart Gu Yu's confession, and silently went to a foreign city to work and save money just to support her broken family.
