Wei Sheng, a book editor who is naturally inarticulate and teased as "the silent one" by her family, gets involved in an ancestral mansion's old case investigation. Her family holds a secret ability to "hear plants' whispers", and a century-old camphor tree's rings in the mansion hide clues to her cousin's 10-year disappearance. To uncover the truth, she teams up with Shen Yi, a male lead hostile to her family's secret. From mutual suspicion to solving puzzles hand in hand with plant guidance, Wei Sheng finally breaks her silence, gains a mutual love beyond doubt—and the family secret behind is far more astonishing than just "listening".
