Disheartened pastry designer Lin Xiaoman returns to her hometown to take over her grandfather's failing "Xiaoman Pastry Shop" to pay off debts. Shortly after opening, she faces malicious price competition from a local Western-style pastry shop and gets entangled in the old case of her grandfather's stolen recipe. Her childhood friend, rising chef Lu Chengyu, happens to start a business back home. Disapproving of the rival's underhanded tactics and attracted by Xiaoman's creative designs, he secretly offers help. The two work together to innovate traditional pastries, revive the shop, uncover the truth of the stolen recipe, achieve an underdog turnaround, and harvest sweet mutual love.
