Retired forest ranger Old Zhou always enjoys running mountains to write diaries, and his granddaughter Jiajia only takes him as a restless old urchin. Until grandpa broke his leg and stayed in bed, Jiajia found the well-worn diary and was shocked to discover every page holds the affectionate past with grandma—grandma once promised to pass down their hometown's wild ginseng planting technology.
