The owner of the "Tough Fruit Stall" on a suburban alley, Uncle Chen looks ordinary but is actually a retired criminal police officer. He guards the neighborhood with special tricks using his fruit stall: he hits the undercarriage of illegally parked cars with watermelons accurately, and "educates" thieves on the spot with fruits. One day, when street gangsters surround a newly graduated girl asking for help, Uncle Chen doesn't use violence. With props like watermelons, slingshots and oranges from the stall, he exposes the gangsters' theft in public and turns the tables. The old police badge hidden in his freezer leads to a guardian story he never mentioned—what he guards is not just a fruit stall, but also the ordinary life of the alley.
