Rebellious street artist Liu Lange breaks into investment banker Zuo Ming's private apartment to escape debt collectors and is forced to sign a "cohabitation contract"—she has to pretend to be his "obedient girlfriend" to deal with his grandma's marriage urges, while he helps her pay off debts. But Liu Lange's unruliness is plain to see: she sprays graffiti on Zuo Ming's suits, cooks instant noodles in his high-end restaurant, and even brings a stray cat to wreck his temperature-controlled wine cabinet. Zuo Ming goes from being fed up to gradually falling for her—this "not so obedient" girl has brought warmth to his cold life. However, when Zuo Ming's business rival targets Liu Lange's "rebellious scandals" and her childhood trauma hidden in her paintings is uncovered, they both realize: "Obedience" has never been the right answer in love.
