Lin Xiaoman, a 996 corporate slave, takes a side gig as a food reviewer to pay her best friend's debt—only to find her first mission is to "crack" Lu Shiyan, the CEO of a catering conglomerate. Rumored to never eat outside food, Lu breaks his ironclad rule for Xiaoman's street wonton. From playful "food battles" to unspoken affection, just as Xiaoman thinks she's stepping into a sweet romance, Lu's secret unravels: he's been searching for the "little crybaby" who gave him a jade pendant a decade ago, and the jade pendant around Xiaoman's neck is exactly the matching pair. In this "first bite" of love, a ten-year-old memory lingers—are they each other's unexpected delight, or a fate woven long before?
