Deep in the old alley, "Dawn Pastry Shop" is Su Xiao's healing haven—she honors her late mother's wish by warming every night owl with handmade sweets. Until Deng Shiyan, a newly returned architect, knocks on her door: he's here to acquire the entire alley for a commercial complex, and her shop is first on the list. From clashing to quietly connecting: Deng tears up when tasting Su's "Gingerbread Stars"—it's the flavor of the only aunt who gave him warmth when he was abducted at eight. Su finds his hidden alley sketches and learns his cold exterior hides longing for his late grandmother. On the eve of the acquisition deadline, Deng presents a new blueprint: keeping the old sycamore, restoring her mother's wooden lattice windows, and planting her favorite blue hydrangeas outside. He says, "What I've always wanted to 'acquire' is never the alley—it's the dawn in the alley." With gingerbread scent in the spring night wind, two people guarding old memories finally step into each other's new story.
