General Shen Yanzhi, desperate to solve the frontline grain shortage, is forced to marry both the Dujun's daughter Su Wantang and the richest man's daughter Lin Zhixia. He intended to treat them as "ornaments" and focus on military affairs, but on their wedding night, Su Wantang climbs into his study and teases him, "The general is quite to my taste" while pinching his chin. Lin Zhixia goes further—she takes over the account room and says, "I'll manage the money from now on. Hide any private savings and I'll break your leg." The once-controlling General Shen suddenly finds himself "handled": he avoids Su Wantang's advances in the morning and coaxes Lin Zhixia about not hiding money at night. Even his subordinates laugh at him, "The general fears his wives." But when he learns Su Wantang's "rudeness" is to shield him from the Dujun's blame, and Lin Zhixia's "dominance" fixes the grain shortage's financial loopholes, this "forced" marriage becomes his warmest armor.
