Lin Ye, a former race car driver forced to retire from a track accident, tricked four troubled young people into living in his old racing team base with “ultra-low rent” to keep it. The mechanic saving up for modification hated the leaky roof, Su Xiao, the sports agent trainee, called him a “stingy liar”, Ning Shuang, the female driver cheated by her agency, looked down on his “has-been” status, and Chen Mo, the rich kid running from family, thought it was “degrading”. But when they found the old race car Lin Ye hid in the warehouse, when they fixed the roof together at midnight and shared their dream-chasing scars, when someone secretly helped Lin Ye rehab or used part-time money to repair the car—these once-hostile six turned the leaky rental into a dream fuel station. And the revving engine restarted on the track? It was not just the young people’s starting line, but also the cruelest yet warmest redemption for Lin Ye, who once gave up on himself.
