Lin Xiaoman, who grew up in the old street bazaar, is determined to save the alley filled with her childhood memories of sweet malt candy from being demolished by real estate developers. She unexpectedly runs into her ex-boyfriend Lu Chuan—now he’s the “persuader” sent by the developers to tear down the street.
