Backstage of a Republic-era opera house, Li Xiang (Dai Qixuan), a star famous for singing "Ode to Pear Blossoms", always strokes the silver hairpin in her hair—that's the last relic her mother gave her before the Fu warlord family massacred her entire family ten years ago. Now, Fu Hanyuan (Fu Hanyuan), the young master of the Fu family, suddenly spends a fortune to book the entire show, waiting for her every night under the stage and even shielding her from assassins sent by his father. Li Xiang originally planned to take revenge using his affection, but Fu Hanyuan's tenderness hidden under his suit: picking up the hairpin she dropped on stage, boiling ginger tea for her stomachache, and saying with red eyes, "I'll wait until you're willing to tell me your secret"—gradually softens her resolve. But when she uncovers the truth about the massacre, she finds that Fu Hanyuan's mother was the one who secretly let her escape back then? Is this encounter under the name of revenge a trick of fate or a pre-written redemption?
