Lu Wantang, a female general who died in battle, returned to the world as a wandering soul, only to find that her uncle—who had always doted on her—had long colluded with the enemy and plotted her death. Her soul had only three days left. On the third night of her countdown, Gu Zhaonian, a cold pharmacist she once saved, burned the life-extending incense he'd cherished for ten years—incense that cost him half his life—to say: “General Lu, this world is filthy and not worth it, but you are the brightest light I've ever seen, worth living for.” As the blade of betrayal intertwines with the mist of deep affection, is Lu Wantang's journey as a wandering soul the start of revenge or a chance for a new life?
