Lord Jiang Yao, the most powerful minister in the imperial court, hides a fatal secret—he’s consumed by unrequited longing for Li Zhao, the late crown princess. Years ago, Li Zhao was framed as “mentally unstable” and died wrongfully to save him. Now, a naive girl named Ruan, who can communicate through dreams, appears in the palace. To Jiang Yao’s shock, Ruan can actually connect to Li Zhao’s soul. While masking his deep affection with cold political tactics, he humbly begs Ruan to pass his message—“I’m dying from missing her”—to Li Zhao in dreams. Little does he know, Ruan is Li Zhao’s daughter, secretly hidden years ago, and Li Zhao’s “madness” was a cover for a treasonous truth the royal family tried to erase. As dreams and reality split apart, can Jiang Yao ever touch Li Zhao’s warmth again? And what abyss will the buried past push everyone into?
