Young screenwriter Wan Nanxin becomes the "contract girlfriend" of icy CEO Gu Shiyan to cover her younger brother's critical medical costs. She thinks it's just a performance, but soon realizes Gu is her childhood "April Brother"—who gave her cherry blossoms and promised to "meet again in April." Gu recognized her the moment they reunited: after leaving due to a family crisis, he's been secretly protecting Nanxin, too scared of losing her again to confess. As the contract ends, Nanxin's brother's condition worsens, and Gu's family forces him into an arranged marriage. Can they overcome obstacles and reclaim their childhood April promise?
