Criminal policeman Xu Xiao investigates a serial disappearance case and targets Zhao Yinnan, owner of the mysterious psychological clinic "Abyss". In their first encounter, Zhao Yinnan reveals Xu Xiao's decade-old childhood trauma—he witnessed his mother's fatal fall but forgot the murderer's face.
