Criminal policeman Xu Xiao investigates a serial disappearance case and targets Zhao Yinnan, owner of the mysterious psychological clinic "Abyss". In their first encounter, Zhao Yinnan reveals Xu Xiao's decade-old childhood trauma—he witnessed his mother's fatal fall but forgot the murderer's face. As the investigation progresses, Xu Xiao discovers all victims had undergone Zhao Yinnan's "memory repair", and his dreams repeatedly show Zhao Yinnan holding the necklace his mother wore when she died. Just as he thinks he's closing in on the truth, he realizes: he's already trapped in Zhao Yinnan's "memory maze", and the so-called "Abyss" is actually the self he's been afraid to face.
