Gu Nianchu, the daughter of the Gu family, has been treated as a "family marriage tool" by her grandfather since childhood, trapped in a gilded cage like a caged bird. During an escape from an arranged marriage, she stumbles into a seaside homestay and meets Shen Tinglan, a returnee marine biologist—this man who has "freedom" engraved in his bones takes her diving into the deep sea for the first time to see glowing fish, and teaches her to shout out the "I don't want to" she's hidden for twenty years. But when her grandfather's bodyguards block the door, her fiancé forces her to marry with a pregnancy test report, and Shen Tinglan suddenly takes out his mother's old necklace and says, "I actually never dared to approach the sea"—can the two "caged birds" break through the cage of fate and rush towards their own tide?
