They become each other’s "soft ribs": Lin brings hot soup when Gu works overtime, and Gu holds her silently when Lin breaks down. They also become each other’s "armor": Lin helps Gu open the notebook, only to find his sister wrote, "I want to be like my brother"; Gu accompanies Lin to confront her boss, saying, "Your health matters more than work." On the day Lin’s small shop opens, Gu holds his sister’s hairpin and says, "She’d love this place."
