Lu Jinchuan (played by Wang Haozhen), a prominent group president, falls in love with intern lawyer Su Wan (played by Shi Xuejing) at first sight. However, due to their huge status gap, Su Wan is always trembling and distant when he approaches. Instead of using his identity to pressure her, Lu Jinchuan silently guards her as a "friend"—helping her solve workplace troubles, bringing hot porridge during her overtime, and even canceling important meetings to accompany her in taking care of her sick mother. When Su Wan finally lets down her guard and asks, "Why me?", Lu takes out a yellowed old photo: the little girl who gave him an umbrella on a rainy night ten years ago when he was homeless was exactly Su Wan. His "love at first sight" is actually a long-awaited reunion after a decade.
