Fifteen years ago, ace agent Qin Mo was betrayed by his comrade, leading to his wife's death in an explosion and his three-year-old daughter Xiaowan's disappearance. Burdened with the guilt of "killing his family," he went into hiding—until he met a mute girl selling handmade flowers in the old town. The jade pendant around her neck, inscribed with "Xiaowan," was exactly the one he'd given his daughter for her full-month celebration. The DNA test shattered his self-exile: Xiaowan was alive, but mute from witnessing her mother's death. Qin Mo put on the "Demon Mask" he'd seized years ago and returned as an anonymous assassin, dragging every conspirator, bystander, and traitor from the past into hell. Each kill was silent, like the guilt he'd carried for years. Every night, when he came home covered in blood, Xiaowan would hand him warm congee and write "Dad" on his palm—that was his only redemption. When the last enemy fell in a pool of blood, Qin Mo removed his mask, only to find Xiaowan standing behind him with a note: "Dad, I've been waiting for you." It turned out she'd secretly recovered her voice months ago, afraid he'd leave again for revenge...
