Lin Wan, a solitary designer, returns to the ancient town with her late mother’s firefly glass jar. The faint glow inside leads her to Gu Chuan—her first love who vanished a decade ago. Once the boy who caught fireflies with her on spring nights, he’s now a 'strange uncle' guarding the old post office. Hidden in the jar is an unsent letter from Gu Chuan: he gave up their appointment back then due to leukemia, fearing to burden Lin Wan. Meanwhile, every night scene Lin Wan painted over the years hides the faint light that guided her back. As fireflies once again fill the old lanes of the town, can they use the glow of the past to complete their unfinished spring night?
