On her first day as an 18-year-old freshman at Rong University, Lin Xiaoman is tackled by Tangtang, a little girl with pigtails, who yells "Mommy"—waving a DNA report that says "Daddy is Xia Wanqing, CEO of Xia Group"—and claims to have traveled from 10 years in the future. She says her future parents missed each other, so she’s here to help them "fall in love early!" To calm her "daughter," Lin Xiaoman signs a "temporary cohabitation agreement" with the ice-cold CEO everyone fears. While juggling schoolwork and pretending to be a couple with Xia Wanqing, she gradually discovers his hidden warmth: heating her morning milk, shielding her from reporters, even smiling secretly at Tangtang’s crayon drawings. Xia Wanqing, too, finds his long-buried loneliness touched by her straightforwardness. As Tangtang’s "time to return" nears, they wonder: is this relationship, started by their daughter’s matchmaking, just a show—or a fate that was always meant to be?
