To get fired from CEO Gu's company smoothly, the female lead pulls all kinds of stunts: being late/early to work, spilling coffee on purpose, messing up project reports. Every little thought of her “ruining things to get sacked” is precisely read by the cold CEO. Instead of firing her, Gu always takes reverse action—when she messes up files, he tidies them secretly and gives her better performance; when she demands to resign, he publicly announces her promotion. All her tricks turn into embarrassing moments, until she finds the tenderness behind Gu's mind-reading, and their story drifts away from the “getting fired” plot.
