Su Wan, a cultural relic restorer, adheres to the principle of "restoring old objects without erasing their history." During collaboration, they uncover a millennium-old regret from the figurine's hidden inscriptions: a craftsman made the figurine for his lover but couldn't deliver it due to war. This reminds Su Wan of her lost first love from a misunderstanding, making her close her heart. Yet Lin Shen melts her defenses with meticulous companionship—helping find materials, staying up late to study the figurine's history. When the figurine is restored, Lin Shen takes out a proposal ring hidden under it—he'd long discovered the craftsman's regret and vows not to repeat it. Su Wan finally understands: "living up to you" isn't about perfect promises, but the courage to face all imperfections together.
