Forensic pathologist Wang Yunfei is probing her best friend’s mysterious death when she accidentally smears “death bone powder”—her key clue—on the neck of Jiang Shan, a CEO who bursts in to retrieve his mother’s ashes. Captivated by this “spiky forensic rose,” Jiang Shan coerces her into being his private consultant under the guise of “assisting the investigation,” while secretly shielding her from behind-the-scenes threats. When the bone leads to a decade-old missing case, Yunfei uncovers a shock: the scar beneath Jiang Shan’s suit matches the boy who saved her as a child—and her friend’s death was a cover-up to stop their reunion.
