Lin Xiaoman, a fresh grad who gave up milk tea to save for rent, is shocked by a triple electricity bill. Checking surveillance, she finds her neighbor’s AC and heating pads are all connected to her meter! She marches over with the bill, only to stumble into Gu Mingyuan’s “cat shelter”—a reserved programmer’s home filled with appliances for stray cats. Gu, too socially anxious to ask the landlord for a wiring change, had been secretly “borrowing” electricity. Xiaoman almost reports him but softens when a kitten rubs against her, so they make a deal: she helps feed the cats to cover the extra bill. But when she discovers Gu is the tech director of her dream company, will this “electricity mix-up” trigger a romance?
