Tangtang, a sophomore, has her ordinary life turned upside down when a man in a black robe blocks her dorm—claiming to be her father and the King of the Underworld! It turns out her dad once gave up his divine bones to save her human mother, and now he’s back to take her to the Underworld as the “heir to the Queen of Hades.” But Tangtang just confessed to her crush of three years, partnered with her best friend to open a cat café, and—most shockingly—discovers a wisp of her mother’s soul locked in her dad’s soul lamp… Caught between the sudden “Underworld throne” and the mundane joys she’s fought to build, Tangtang stands at the boundary of life and death. What choice will she make? And what unspoken secret does her mother’s soul hold?
