Lin Xiaoman, a 25-year-old convenience store clerk, was raised by her godfather Lin Shen, who runs an old bookstore. One night, three floating "glass people" smash the shop window, yelling "Star Alliance traitor"—revealing Lin Shen is an alien investigator, and her ordinary life is the Star Alliance’s final test for her as an "Earth candidate envoy": staying kind without knowing the truth. Then, the Alliance’s archenemy "Dark Domain" comes, offering clues to her missing mother and an exemption order to save Lin Shen—if she steals the Alliance’s Earth assessment report hidden by Lin Shen. Staring at her mother’s photo and Lin Shen coughing blood, Xiaoman realizes: the test isn’t about choosing answers, but daring to trust her kindness. Her choice will decide Lin Shen’s life and whether Earth can join the interstellar civilization.
