After being laid off and hit with a rent hike, Lin Xiaoman, a struggling office worker, has no choice but to rent the spare room from her ex-boyfriend Gu Chuan—three years ago, she dumped him for "being poor," but now he’s a cat café owner who intentionally offers her a rock-bottom rent to lure her in. Their co-living life is chaos: her snail noodles turn his aromatherapy into a "biochemical weapon," while he hides her instant noodles in the wardrobe when she’s away; she helps him fend off a blind date and gets mistaken for "rekindling old flames," and he accidentally crashes into her arms while fixing her water pipe… As their "revenge co-living" softens, Lin Xiaoman finds her three-year-old handmade necklace hanging in his café—and in his phone notes, an unsent message: "I still love you."
