Lin Xiaoman, an overworked office worker, picks up an injured black cat late at night. To her shock, the cat transforms into a handsome man named Si Ye that very evening—he claims to be a "cat spirit guide" who must rely on humans to heal from severe injuries. As they live together, Si Ye can't hide his feline instincts: stealing her iced milk, chasing yarn balls, and even wrapping his tail around her wrist to beg for cuddles when she works overtime. But behind their sweet moments lies a secret: Si Ye's mission is to take away her past-life soul. Yet he's long betrayed his duty—every night after she falls asleep, Si Ye turns back into a cat, curling up beside her pillow and licking the tears from her eyes. When the cat clan envoys arrive, Si Ye must choose between his mission and his love. Can this forbidden human-cat romance escape the claws of fate?
