Chen Mo, a loser programmer, married Lin Wan, daughter of tough criminal police captain Lin Zhengguo. He’s always belittled by his father-in-law for being "useless"—until he binds a weird system: catching criminals earns "father-in-law favor points"! To fix their relationship, Chen Mo goes from catching "community dog thieves" to "cross-city scammers",闹出 endless jokes: mistaking his father-in-law for a suspect and tackling him during a stakeout, or using his programmer skills to help the police crack encrypted cases... Just as the favor points are about to max out, a serial criminal linked to Lin Zhengguo's old unsolved case emerges. Chen Mo not only has to catch the criminal but also help his father-in-law untie his years-long heart knot, proving he’s not just "pleasing"—he’s a man who can guard their family together.
