Lin Xiaoman, a rookie screenwriter, musters up courage to pitch her debut script to movie emperor Gu Chengchuan. To her shock, she finds Gu treasuring a 20-year-old photo of her mother, Lin Wan—revealing that her mom is the unforgettable 'white moonlight' Gu has hidden in his heart for decades. After learning Xiaoman's identity, Gu not only agrees to star in her script but also starts 'coincidentally' running into Lin Wan. However, her usually gentle mom always dodges Gu's probes. When Xiaoman stumbles upon an unsent love letter her mom wrote years ago, she uncovers a bombshell: the reason for their separation is tied to her? A long-unfinished love story spanning two generations is about to reignite, all because of her accidental meddling.
