Lin Xiaoman, a senior high school student, always finds her mom Chen Guifen “overbearing” — forcing her to drink hot milk before morning self-study, checking her schoolbag for wrong answers after night class, and even secretly changing her college major from Chinese Literature (her dream) to Accounting (for “better job prospects”).
